Live Animal Programs
Animal Adventures is an educational based program.
We provide a hands on approch to learning about animals that is both fun and safe.
Our objective is to educate people about conservation and the diverse and unique world of animals.
How Does it Work ?
We bring the zoo to you. you choose 10 animals for an hour presentation or 5 animals for a half hour presentation. The presentations conform to different age groups. So all ages have fun learning about animals. All the animals can be petted. Prices start at $150 for our half hour program and $225 for one hour, but may vary due to location. We bring the zoo to you!!
Learn about some of the most unique creatures from around the world. This program is great, not only do you to choose from our amazing mammals, you can also pick from our selection of reptiles, amphibians and insects. You chose 10 creatures for a hour long program. So get personal with a porcupine or go nose to nose with an anteater, have fun with a frog or mingle with a millepede it is up to you !!!

Learn about the facinating lives and fun facts of boa constrictors , pancake tortoises, skinks, lizards, frogs and salamanders. For a hour long program you can choose 10 cold blooded creatures.

Who is it For?
Animal Adventures zoo outreach presentations have become popular for almost any occasion. besides school programs, park distrists, coparate parties, pinics, summer camps, block parties, birthday parties, libraries, and retirement homes. Animal Adventures also offers after school classes. We have conducted weekly after school programs for Chicago University Lab School. The programs are designed for childern to get a more detailed understanding about animal life, behaviour, and conservation through discussion, projects, and meeting the animals themselves.

We currently have fruit bats, a civet, a kinkajou, a sloth, reptiles, insects, amphibians, and birds.

Who is the staff ?
Our staff members have aquired their years of experience from places as Linclon Park Zoo and conservation projects from around the world.
Animal Adventures and Flying Fox Conservation Fund founder and director Scott Heinrichs has worked more than ten years on the Sulawesi fruit bat conservation project which is dedicated to aiding endangered fruit bats of Indonesia. He has been written about by the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribrune, Chicago Reader, and Audubon magazine. He has also written articles or BATS magazine and Bat Research News ect.
Our Pledge
We do not advocate animal tricks or acts of any sort, nor do we alter our animals in any way. (we do not declaw, defang, or sedate any of our animals) All our animals are housed and handled in a manner which is respectable to their mental and physical well being, as a result they enjoy the company of people and can be petted. It is our pledge to you that Animal Adventures/ Flying Fox Conservation Fund is both fun and educational, as well as promoting ethical treatment of animals. And remember a portion of your proceeds will go towards fruit bat conservation efforts world wide.
